Adoption, the heart of the Father

So I have this crazy God sized dream that we could see every child in the state of FL who needs a home placed in a Christian family!
Whether that's adoption or temporary as a foster family, a minister of reconciliation.

If there was at least one family in every strong church in our listening area and it would happen!
James says, this is pure undefined religion, to care for widows and orphans, it's the heartbeat of our Father!

This is an amazing time when the government, the system,  is asking for the Churches help, they recognize the most healthy healing homes are with Christians.

1 John 3:1. How great is the love the Father has lavished on us that we should be called children of God!  And that is what we are!
Adoption is in our dna, We've been adopted, joint heirs, sons and daughters of God!
Moses, Esther, Jesus...all adopted

Qualities of our Father 2 Cor 1: 3-4 says He is the Father of Compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles,so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves  have received from God.
Have you ever wondered?
Why He didn' t come up with some sort of reproductive system that would produce a physically complete person full grown like Adam?
Could it be that God wanted us to be totally dependent and helpless because He intended family to be a place where His love would be demonstrated by both the parent and the child?  His will for us is to see His love revealed through parental tenderness, mercy and discipline.

You could be the one to provide that love to a child that desperately need you! It's amazing to think there could be a child alive right now that God intended to be in your family!
It's made a huge difference in our life! Two of our beautiful daughters came to us through foster care and adoption.
To adopt through the state is absolutely free (it cost you your life) and the child not only gets a full college scholarship and medical coverage till they are 18 but also a monthly support check to help with their expenses. I agree Michelle. What an open door our Lord has given us. We also need to pray that God would pierce the hearts of both parents.

    Hi Michelle,
It's been so great hearing your voice via the JOY FM prior to and now after attending Mass today. Then I clicked on your blog page and guess what...My home opened two and 1/2 weeks ago for me to be a single Foster Mom. I have wanted this for so long, but had to wait until both my hips were replaced. My final and right one was completed on April 27th and I was walking beautifully without my cane just a week later. God is so Good. He knew my prayer was sincere when I said I wanted to go forward with being a Foster Mom if He could make me physically strong and able to handle a child. I have asked for a child age infant to 7 years old. Obviously, the gender and race of m child does not concern me. As I moved to Knoxville. TN, 2 years and 7 months ago, I knew I wanted to be a Foster Mom. When I trained for this prior to my surgeries, here in Tennessee we had just over 4000 children waiting for a Foster Home. Now, less than 2 years later, we have over 6000 children waiting. I don't understand what is going on with the breakdown of families. I do know with God at the head of a Family, anything or circumstance that must be dealt with is much easier. My belief is that there is no God in these situations. My heart breaks for these children. I'll also be teaching 1st grade at my All Saint's Parish this Fall. It begins there. Every adult can do something for a child to bring Jesus into their lives. Even if you cannot become a Foster Mom or Dad, you can mentor a child/children. You don't have to have money to do either. It just takes a little creativity and self-sacrifice. The rewards I have gotten by being a mentor for 4 little girls in my neighborhood who are so needy and poor and abused has brought me such joy. God honors our works for His children. He will give you and I all we need to step in Faith and just do something for a child. He tells us to train up a child in the way that he will go. There are so many starving for love and attention. I feel so blessed that God touched my heart to make a difference for the "less than"...my term for them...children who have been born into very bad circumstances and who need morality and security and most of all, unconditional love. Thank you for your blog, Michelle. I am often in touch with Donna DeRiesthal, as we are good friends and she knows all that I am in the midst of right now. I constantly keep the JOY FM in my daily prayers. I am also to, once again, be a Prayer Minister/Partner for Linda Morrison beginning this Wednesday from 10am to 12pm. Prayer is another thing that is so important. We can all do something. You're an amazing blessing to all of us, Michelle, as we listen to your words of wisdom between songs and hear the Word of God coming through your Spirit. If I ever move back to Sarasota, I'll be volunteering at the JOY FM for promotional events. I SO miss coming along side all of you. May God continue to richly Bless You. Love, Linda C. King

    Michelle,
I heard you talking about adoption tonight on my way home from work. It really touched me and I have been praying about it. I want to research it further, however, it appears that the sites you provided do not include Hillsborough County. Do you know of any organizations that serve Hillsborough?
    In Christ,
    Peter
